Check in is after 3 pm.
Front Door Code - As your arrival date nears, we will send you an email with your front door code. This will allow you to check in at your convenience and come and go as you need to during your stay. Neil and I both have full time jobs and are in and out of the B&B throughout the day (we also live on site). Our responsibilities make it hard for us to sit and wait on guests to arrive if they encounter travel difficulties or other unexpected delays. We are usually nearby and can pop in if there's an issue.
After checking in and settling into your private room, please make yourself at home. Feel free to enjoy a snack or drink in the dining area, relax on one of the porches, take a walk through the woods, grab a book from the bookcase in the living room, play with one of the provided board games or bring your own, or just sit and be still and watch the birds and wildlife. We want everyone to feel warm and welcomed and enjoy their retreat in the woods.
Check out is at 11 am.
Rates - $130 - $170 per night plus tax (Indiana sales tax is 7%. Grant County Inn Keeper's tax is 5%).
Double occupancy (2 people per room). Parties with more than 2 people will be charged $15 per additional person per night.
Guests are also welcome to have non-staying family and friends join them for breakfast for $15 per person. (please arrange in advance).
We accept these payment methods - Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Paypal.
Gift certificates must be declared at the time of reservation.
Kitchen - Per health department regulations, the kitchen is not available to guests.
The great room and a dining table for 8 is provided for your enjoyment.
You will find a mini fridge in each room with bottled water and soda. In addition, on the bar, there is a guest microwave and a Keurig with k cups, ice maker, tea, creamers, sugars, and paper products. There is also an assortment of snacks such as granola bars, crackers, microwave popcorn, and chips for those mid afternoon and midnight munchies. Every afternoon, Velvet will also have a freshly made treat on the kitchen table for guests to share.
Pets - Sorry, pets are not allowed.
Smoking is allowed in the parking area only.
Cleaning fee - If a guest disregards the smoking or pet policy in the house, a $200 cleaning fee will be charged to the card on file.
Reservations -
Must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Please call if you're needing to book a stay at the last minute to make sure that we have an opening.
We encourage you to use our secure online reservation service but if you have any difficulty, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.
We suggest making reservations 1-3 years in advance for busy weekends such as James Dean Festival, IWU / Taylor Parent's Weekends, IWU / Taylor Homecomings, and IWU/ Taylor Graduations.
14 Day - Maximum stay
Cancellation Policy - Making a reservation at a B&B is not the same as making a hotel reservation. Due to our size and personal attention that we offer to our guests, reschedules and cancellations affect us greatly. We hold your room for you and turn away all other requests. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of rebooking your room. For this reason, please read through our cancellation policy thoroughly.
Our policies are meant to be fair to our guests, yet prevent the loss of income to our business. Thank you for your cooperation!
A full refund is available for up to 10 days prior to your arrival date less a $15 processing fee.
Cancellations made 5-10 days prior to your arrival date will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made 2-5 days prior to your arrival date will receive a 25% refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to your reservations or no shows are not subject to a refund.
Whole house/all 3 rooms reservations must be cancelled at least 30 days in advance for a full refund minus a $50 processing fee.
Whole house reservations cancellations that are made 20-30 days prior to your arrival date will receive a 50% refund.
Whole house reservation cancellations that are made 10-20 days prior to your arrival date will receive a 25% refund.
Whole house reservation cancellations that are made less than 10 days prior to your arrival date are non-refundable.

Guests with Children - We cater to the comfort, privacy, and security of all of our guests. Haisley's Hideaway is regarded as a relaxing and refreshing getaway for our guests and we work very hard to foster that environment. Therefore, children are welcome but must have adult supervision at all times. We ask that you are respectful of any other guests in the house as well. We do provide some entertainment such as toys, coloring materials, and board games but it is the parent's responsibility to keep their children occupied. We do suggest our Hideaway Suite for families that have children under 10 years old. Thank you for your cooperation.
Wedding/Bridal Parties - our B&B has been used often for bridal parties to stay the night before the wedding and then everyone is in one location for getting ready on wedding day. It's a special time for the bride and her bridesmaids to hang out and spend time together. In these events though, it brings challenges to us as there are many people coming and going throughout the day such as flower vendors, videographers, photographers, family, friends, hair and makeup stylists, etc. This makes it difficult for other guests that aren't affiliated with the wedding to stay. If you will be staying the night before your wedding day and using the B&B as a staging/get ready area, you will need to rent all 3 rooms and you must still check out by 11 am so that we can prepare the B&B for the next guests. If you need to stay longer then 11 am, you must rent all 3 rooms that evening as well. Staying at the B&B, also allows you to use our property for any wedding day pictures.
Bridal Party Package - in addition to your room rentals, we offer different packages that include wedding day snacks and drinks for anyone that may be coming in throughout the day such as flower girls and ring bearers, family, and friends. Let us reduce your stress by not having to figure out how everyone is going to get lunch before your wedding. Contact us for more details.
Payment is due in full at the time of check-in. Indiana sales tax is 7% and County sales tax is 5% and will be added to your payment.
Guest visitors are only permitted on the property with prior approval from us.
